U.S. Collie Rescue Directory

(Updated October 2026)

Our Collie rescue directory is a work in progress; if you can, please share any links or coverage areas we are missing. Thank you for your support.

Smooth and Rough Collie Dog Rescues

Are you searching for Smooth or Rough Collies to rescue, or do you need to surrender a Collie? If so, we’re here to help. Click on a Collie rescue link below to visit their website and see what’s currently available.

Remember to do your research, ask the right questions, and find a reliable rescue you can trust – preferably one with 501c3 or equivalent nonprofit status.

No Collie rescue in your state? Don’t worry! There are other options, since not every Collie in need of rehoming ends up in a rescue or shelter.

To look for older Collie puppies or adult Collies, check out our breeder directory  (Sometimes dogs are returned to breeders or retired from showing or performing.) Or contact a nearby Collie Club and ask to be notified of any available Collies up for adoption.

You can also visit sites like Rescue Me, Petfinder, or Hoobly to search by breed and location for adoptable Collies.

Do you run a Collie rescue? Thinking of starting one? The Collie Rescue Foundation is a nonprofit that provides funding to Collie rescues nationwide. Become a member to support them in their mission of “promoting and assisting in the rescue of purebred Collies.”
